Spring has sprung, and the first asparagus shoots are being harvested. Of course, here in Berkeley it has a tendency to always feel like spring, even in midwinter. The plum and magnolia blossoms have already mostly fallen from our trees, and green leaves are bursting out in their place. But other flowers are still showing their faces, especially the calla lilies which paved the way for Easter last weekend.
